During lockdown in spring 2020, performing artists all over the world were faced with a sudden stop to their work, as theaters and opera houses were closed. It was a chance, for some, to exercise creativity with demanding limitations and hone a deeper vision for their future. As April rolled around, it was time for minimal encounter to again implement the streets of Berlin. Though social distancing was a must, a clear and sincere yearning for connection was surfacing with strong intensity. With a great longing for the opportunity to inspire the neighborhood, Sarah Nevada and photographer India Harlem set out to do just that by collaborating together for some new headshots for Sarah Nevada. This day concluded in a viral social media video of Sarah Nevada uplifting the saddened streets by dancing to Frank Sinatra’s “That’s Life” blasting out from German rap artist Toski’s neighboring balcony.
